Bind-Runes

Bind-Runes are created by combining two or more runes together to create a ligature of runes.

Bind runes can be divided into 3 main styles.

Stacked

I'll create a personalized Bind-Rune for you. Be it of your name or a combination of a few key concepts (eg. Strength, courage and honour).

This is the most common bind rune and it’s made with two (or three) runes that share the same axis.

The modern Bluetooth symbol is a prime example of a stacked Bind Rune.

In Magick, they are used to manifest your will and your reality.

Linear

I'll create a Linear Stave Rune for you, based on a more complex idea / sentence / magickal mantra. This stave may include runes and/or bind-runes.

We can find this type in Scandinavian runic inscriptions. A series of runic letters are written in a specific order along a common axis.

In Magick, they are used to attack a problem directly.

Radial

I'll create an Icelandic Magickal Stave for you, based on a more complex idea. This stave may include runes and/or bind-runes.

We can find some examples of this type of bind runes in the Icelandic staves or Galdrastafir. Each rune or combination of runes stems from a common centre point.

The famous Vegvisir is a prime example of a Galdrastafir.

In Magick, they are used in defensive spells and/or amulet creation.

Radial Bind Runes can have any number of prongs, however 4, 6 or 8 is the most prominent.
